Five-Second Film: 123

1.      Explain your 5-second film, and how you think it fits into your final major project, or hope it can kick off your final major project?

I really struggled with creating an idea for my five-second film. I wanted to make the film in relation to my FMP idea, but I couldn’t find a way to make it connect to an animated music video, I therefore instead tried to make it relate to the overall production of film itself.
I filmed several very short clips of actions that are associated with the production of a live action film: taking off and then replacing the camera lens, switching to record mode, pressing record, and connecting a usb cable to the mac. I thought that this was a reasonably suitable film, as it presented a snapshot into the overall production of a/my film, if I had/was going to produce a live action film.
2.      What is the purpose of your fmp?

To explore and evaluate the history and evolution of animated music videos, and to discuss the impact that these have on the audience.
3.     What do you hope to get out of this?

I hope to demonstrate my passion for the subject of animation, whilst building a solid understanding of the animated music video industry.

 Three promises to yourself:
1.      To stay happy with my chosen idea
2.      To go to bed earlier.
3.      To have loads of fun with the production and written work.
